Meet Simone
Simone Cannon
M.Ed, LPC
Like many people my path to today has had many bends and curves. I am thankful for it all even when I never understood what was happening. I started as a youth pastor for my church while attending the University of Houston to become a teacher. After teaching for a few years I went back to school to study clinical mental health to combine my love of teaching with counseling.
After working as a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor in private practice, I began recognizing that after trauma, many mental health issues could be addressed if people had better mind-body connections. I started recognizing that a more holistic approach was necessary and that by addressing both physical and mental aspects my clients could have a better quality of life. I started focusing on health and wellness coaching to help explore lifestyle factors that can impact mental health, such as sleep, nutrition, and exercise. A health and wellness coach can help you establish healthy habits in these areas, which can positively influence your mental well-being. I started to Incorporate mindfulness techniques, relaxation exercises, and stress management strategies into coaching sessions. By stepping into the coaching role with these practices, I can support my clients mental well-being by helping them cultivate self-awareness, reduce stress, and enhance resilience.
Stepping into the health and wellness coaching field has been two fold. While I am licensed to practice counseling in Texas, I am able to practice as a health and wellness coach nationwide. This has allowed me to move with my husband and our 4 kids to northern California and remain connected with my passion of helping others while being mobile for my husband’s career.
What is Wellness Coaching?
Do you have a health goal in mind to improve your overall well-being? Have you received instruction based on a diagnosis from a health care practitioner that you need to implement? I can help you make the changes in your everyday life that work for you in order to improve and sustain your health. We’ll take a look at your life as a whole, set realistic goals, and create an action plan. The belief is that you are the expert on yourself and your situation and I am here as your coach to support you as you go through the natural ups and downs in the process, build confidence, encourage a positive mindset, and accountability.
Change doesn’t happen overnight.
Knowing is half the battle.

And we all want someone to just tell us what to do.
Lets face it. Often know what we need to do. All the people on the internet, our contemporaries, and or doctors are telling us what to do. We still struggle to do the thing we need or want to do. Health coaching helps you take control of your life and make the choices that best suit you by helping to build confidence, hold accountability, overcome challenges, recognize strengths and help you achieve your goals.
